The sugar cane is crushed daily and the juice heated to reduce it to a rich syrup, which is hand-paddled to create the Sucanat granule. Sucanat's natural molasses flavor is wonderful in chocolate-based recipes, BBQ sauces, on oatmeal and in beverages. Use as a 1-for-1 replacement for refined brown sugar in all recipes.
